Is blogspot the lousiest in the world?

Unfortunately, one doesn't have to be a serious blogger to find that blogspot is lousy. The ATOM/RSS service kept on going out of service; stock templates are uninspiring; the commenting feature is hard to use; there's no captcha to curb spam and worst of all is that long web address are butchered. By use the "stretch" style, I was able to escape that destine only in main text. So if you know of a better blog providers, please drop me a line. Thanks.
